I'm canoeing from the Shannon to Dublin, around 144km all along the Royal Canal.

After over 20 years of socialist activism in Limerick I'm moving to Dublin, and this journey is both a life long ambition as well as symbolising this major move. The challenge is also an opportunity to raise some much needed funds for the campaign to re-elect Paul Murphy TD in the upcoming general election.

I've worked with Paul for years and seen first hand how his dedication and determination have helped to build mass movements, and expose the cronyism of the political elite. Now the far-right are trying to bully, undermine and unseat this principled campaigner, and we cannot let that happen. That's why I'm asking people to donate to his re-election campaign, to keep Paul in the Dail.
